Course length: Weekly 2 hour classes for 12 weeks

Course cost: £5/hour + £5 for course materials

Prerequisites: This level is for students with no prior knowledge or experience of Arabic whatsoever and will start with learning the alphabet.

Description: At the end of the course, students will have learned the skills they need to read and write vocalised Arabic text. They will also acquire the basic vocabulary for colours, numbers, days of the week and useful conversational phrases.

Textbook: Arabic from the Beginning Book One by Dr. Imran Hamza Alawiye

Other materials: Students will be provided with vocabulary and dialogue handouts as well as relevant audio recordings.

Assessment: Weekly homework and a simple test at the end of the course
